Living in a dirty castle

Like i have promised, i am updating every thursday. nothing really eventful happened the past week. our club soccer team played against Binghamton University and lost 3-1, but i scored so it was all good.

attached are some pictures taken from my house. For the past two weeks, our house has been in its worst shape. to be fair, it has always been a shithole. But this semester has gone beyond the point where i am convinced that if i live here any longer, i will get AIDS. it's that bad. There was broken glass in the hallway, where unwanted couches stood vertically and made it impossible to get through unless you weigh less than 100 lbs.

thanks to the fire inspection, we needed to clean the house and it has returned to its best shape ever, as shown in the pictures.

For the nerds:

I finished reading this book called Strange Defeat by Marc Bloch. it was written by a French general on the defeat of France in WWII, the content itself was ok, but i liked the way he writes.

i also finished Jose Mourinho by Luis Lourenco. THis book talked about Mourinho's time in Portugal, from leaving Barcelona to winning the Champion's League. I am usually not a big fan of him because i hate Chelsea, but i have to admit that he has exceptional management skills, and this book revealed the complicated side of soccer fans would not know about.

As for my writing, i have been working on a childhood memoir and put some of the funniest moments in writing. maybe i will put some of those up here next week. i will also put up pictures of my room next week.
